FamilyLedger Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Status: Pre-release policy for the FamilyLedger service
1. Overview
FamilyLedger is a shared household medicine ledger. This policy explains the information the service is designed to handle, why it is used, and the controls available to household members.
2. Information FamilyLedger Handles
The service may process information you or other authorised household members provide, including:
- Account details such as email address and display name.
- Household membership and role information.
- Family-person details, including information about children, parents, or other dependants.
- Medicine inventory details, including assigned person, quantity, unit, expiry date, notes, storage location, and purchase-needed status.
- Security-relevant audit events related to shared household data.
3. How Information Is Used
FamilyLedger uses this information to authenticate accounts, operate the requested shared ledger, synchronise authorised household members, show expiry and purchase-needed information, secure the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.
4. Storage and Sharing
FamilyLedger uses Supabase for authentication and data storage, with the FamilyLedger API acting as the service boundary for business operations. Household members can access the shared data permitted by their role. Service providers process information only to operate the service.
Do not include medicine or other health information in support tickets, analytics events, or logs.
5. Your Controls
- Household owners can export shared household records.
- You can request account deletion. An owner must transfer household ownership first so other members do not lose access.
- People and medicine records may use soft deletion to support reliable synchronisation and household audit history.
6. Retention and Security
FamilyLedger is designed with authenticated access, household membership checks, and role-aware permissions. Data-retention periods and backup deletion timing will be specified before public release. We encourage every user to protect their account credentials and device.
7. Medical Information Notice
FamilyLedger is an organisational inventory and reminder tool, not a medical service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, dosage validation, or emergency services.
8. Updates and Contact
We may update this policy as the service develops. For privacy questions, export issues, deletion requests, feedback, or to report a problem, contact us through the support form.
